On 8 July, ten Great Yarmouth Road Runners competed amongst a field of close to 400 runners in the concluding race of the Wroxham 5K Series. With the cooler evening weather conditions being more favourable for the runners than in the opening two races, expectations of some good performances were heightened. The team did not disappoint, returning a fantastic four new personal best times. Sean Jermy ran superbly to finish the race in 13th place helping to extend his lead in the 2015 Leathes Prior Grand Prix Series for the Senior Men's Category and provide him with great confidence going into the next qualifying event at Dereham in a month's time. Andrew Manning also produced an excellent run to finish 40th and in the process collected 3rd quickest male trophy prize in his age category. GYRR Club would like to extend their appreciation to Norwich Road Runners & Partners for making the series such an enjoyable one to have taken part in.
