The Valentine 10k
Cool, crisp conditions greeted runners and spectators on arrival at Easton & Otley College for the Norfolk Gazelles hosted Valentine 10K on Sunday. With entries having sold out weeks in advance it gave the runners time to assess their goals for this event and for some, the opportunity to make some interesting additions to their Valentine race wardrobe.
Great Yarmouth Road Runners were well represented at the event putting in some cracking performances including Steven 'Roly' Baker debuting in Club Colours.
Sadly Elaine Stone picked up an injury towards the end of the race, forcing her to limp into the finish but it was a reassuring sight to see Elaine's team-mates support her all the way across the line so she could receive her finisher's medal.
Of the 425+ runners to have completed the course, the overall winning times in the male and female races were 33:49 and 37:33 respectively.
