Humpty Dumpty 10k

Heavy rain in the lead up to the GYDAC organised Humpty Dumpty 10k threatened to make the race a very wet event.  Despite the walk from the car park to the race HQ being rainy the race itself stayed rain free.

35 Great Yarmouth Road Runners took part with some excellent performances with some excellent PBs being celebrated.

Jane Thomas was particularly pleased with her time of 47:39 and after a celebratory trip to the bar managed to inform most of the GYRR team of her PB in her typically energetic way.

Ian Tooley was equally delighted to pass Stuart Canwell in the last mile of the race and Ian managed to scream “HEAR COMES DADDY!!!” at Stuart as he passed him causing Stuart to nearly hyperventilate with laughter.

First home for GYRR was Sean Jermy in a superb 35:37.  Darren Honour finished shortly after Sean in 37:54 winning his age category in the process. Marc Evans can in third with a time of 38:47.

In the end it proved a difficult race for the organisers with technical difficulties causing the results to be somewhat confused at the end.  However all appears to have been sorted and GYRR results are below.
