Dereham 10 Mile

Fourteen athletes from Great Yarmouth Road Runners faced the hottest conditions of the year so far when they competed in the Dereham 10 Mile Race, which also included the County Championships, on Sunday 8th May. Runners found the conditions particularly challenging, but everyone managed to complete the course, and can be proud of their performance.

First home for the club was Darren Honour in a time of 1.08.01, followed by Steven Baker in a new PB of 1.17.39.

John Bone completed the course in 1.20.13, coming first in the Vet 65 age category and winning the Norfolk County Championship for his age. Pauline Leeves (Female 55) won the County Championship gold medal for her age in a time of 1.28.51, with Lorrain Dawson claiming the silver medal in 1.37.02.
