Four members of Great Yarmouth Road Runners made the trip to Cambridge on 8th March to take part in the city's half marathon. This was the fourth running of this event which has grown to a field of 4500 runners, making it one of the largest events in the area. Athletes taking part enjoyed clear and sunny conditions as they followed a course around the streets of the historic university city. First home for GYRR was Gary Pillar in a new personal best time of 1:42:34, followed by Penny Studley who also ran a PB of 1:47:02. Crossing the line in a comfortable 1:54:45 were John 'Iron Man' Figiel and Paul 'Spiderman' Greensides, who were running in their superhero costumes in order to raise money for the RNLI.
