Norwich Road Runners hosted the first of this year’s 3 races in the popular 5k series.  The series has now been running for 21 years and reached a new record of participants. With over 600 entries and 593 finishers, 14 of them were Great Yarmouth Road Runners (GYRR).

Having the race of his life, Sean Jermy finished in 10th place overall.  His outstanding time of 16.43 was not only a personal best but it also equalled the GYRR record for the senior men. Marc Evans, Andy Clark and Gary Pillar also had strong runs finishing under the 20 minute mark.

Finishing in less than 21 minutes were matt Buckoke, Mark Stone and Penny Studley. Penny picked up a shield for coming 3rd in the 40-44 age category.
