Three Great Yarmouth Road Runner's travelled to Bury St Edmunds to take part in the popular Tarpley 20 which was full due to many local runners training for their Spring Marathons. The course was an enjoyable undulating and picturesque course and the three seasiders acquitted themselves well. First home with training going well for the London Marathon was Mark Stone in a superb time of 2:47, not on this occasion getting the PB due to accompanying son Luke at Park Run, too hot, then too cold, then too many "little hills" and too much flat! Karen Peck again used the outing as a training run, fresh from her marathon last Sunday and a 20 miler the day before ran in strongly at 3:16. Paul Rivers came in shortly after in again a good time for the marathon training in 3:23." Rivers don't let me dare catch you" said Karen as she caught him at 18 miles. We laughed afterwards. All in all a good day out with training going well for all. A superb race put on by St. Edmunds Pacers.
