21 Great Yarmouth Road Runners travelled to North Norfolk for the Bakers & Larner’s of Holt 10k race.
493 runners took part in the popular race, which was also the final race of the Sportlink Grand Prix series.
The weather was perfect for the run with plenty of sunshine and a light breeze to go with it ensuring that it wasn’t too hot for those taking part. The route took the runners through some beautiful country roads around the picturesque village of Holt with some stunning scenery. There was a small section of flat off road which just made the run even more enjoyable along with a few ‘upward flat’ sections which the runners conquered with determination! There was plenty of encouragement on the way round from the enthusiastic marshals to members of the public. All in all, a superb well organized and supportive race put on by the North Norfolk Beach Runners.
Bringing home some wins for GYRR were Andrew Dormer, winning his age category and also achieving a well deserved PB and Anna Coulburn also winning her age category. Congratulations to both!
A special mention goes to Anita Betts who made this her final race in the Sportlink Grand Prix. She has completed all 11 of the races in the series. Well done Anita!
A massive well done to all team GYRR who took part in the race finishing with some great results along with many achieving PB’s.
